To us it was natural to join forces with Egaa Sejlklub as we share the same vision of one day having all Danish yachting boats racing ORC. And Egaa more than happily accepted the team work opportunities finding the Worlds as the most powerful signaling to doubtful Danish owners.
A tracking system has been set up using RaceQs platform, that you can see at the links provided below, for each Class.
The system is based on apopular app that you can download on your smartphones or tablets from the site www.raceqs.com
The app simply needs to be started during the race, entering the boat name.
It is not a mandatory requirement, but it will be interesting to replay the races and have a look at the various tactical choices.
Activating the "live streaming" the tracks will be broadcast and visible during the race, but for those not having a local phone contract, to avoid data roaming costs, it can be uploaded when reaching wifi coverage. The tracks will appear for replay right after upload.
You will be checked and measured on the “ORC Cat. 3 Inspection Card“.
„InspectionOSR_Cat3_2016_07-6“ document is the full safety equipment list for Cat 3 sailing, without liferaft, that you should abide by.
Please note that for checking in and registration in the Race Office for the ORC Worlds Copenhagen 2016 you should bring your ORC Certificate duly signed by the owner of the boat (owner needs to sign in lower right hand corner of the certificate). This certificate should always be onboard the boat during the regatta and during measurement checks.
